Kulfi (Indian Ice Cream)


A Little something to cool you down now that summer is arriving......
Ingredients:
3 Cups of Confectioners Sugar
1 Tablespoon of Ground Cardamom
1 Tablespon of Rose water
1 1/2 cups of Pistachios, chopped nuts
1/2 Cup of Golden Raisins
3/4 Cup of Sliced Almonds
3 tablespoons of Candy Cherries
4 Fld. Ounce Cans of Unsweetened Condensed Milk
3 Egg Whites
Serves about 4 people

1)Remove the labels from the cans of evaporated milk and lay the cans down in a pan with a tight cover. Fill the pan up with water so it reaches the 3/4 level of the cans, and let boil for 20 minutes. Turn off, and when cooled down, put in refrigerator for 24 hours. Also chill another larger bowl.
2) Whisk the egg whites until peaks form. Empty the chilled milk into the bowl and whisk again. Then fold in the whosked eggs and icing sugar
3)Then put the remaining ingredients and place in freezer for an hour
4)Remove from freezer, mix and serve
AND YOU ARE DONE :)

  1. Andre that ice cream looks really good. So does that mango drink. I`ll have to try it some time. And I`m still waiting for samosa recipe.
