Vegetable Samosas

After ALL the requests here it is "THE SAMOSAS" I thought I would give as the treat to conclude my month of blogging with......
Ingredients
3 Large Boiled Potatoes
Cup of Peas (frozen/canned/fresh)
1 tsp of Coriender
1 tsp of ground cumin
1 tsp of dry mango powder
1 onion finely choppped
2 fresh green chilies (if you like them real spicy)
cilantro chopped
some chopped mint leaves
lemon juice
salt
(for the "soft bread like" wrapping around the samosa it is kind of hard to explain how to make in direction form. I heard some advice that you shoulde use some sheets of Filo Pastry (never tried but give me some feedback)
Steps:
Cut 28 strips of Filo Pastries and brish with oil
Toss ingredients in a bowl and mix until well blended (almost mushy)
Put the 1 tbsp of the mixing into a strip of the filo pastry and fold into triangle shape. bake for 10-15 minutes (or deep fry) continue for 27 more times

Thanks for reading all my blogs :)

Mango Lassi

So I have added a main dish, dessert and my next recipe will be about a nice sweet, creamy drink we have called Mago Lassi

Ingredients:
Big Can of Sliced Mangos (or fresh ones...)
2/3 Cup of Heavy Cream
6 tbsp. Plain Yogurt

1) Drain Mangos and put into food processor
2)Process until formed into a puree.
3) Pour the cream and yogurt into a bowl and whisk. Then whisk into Mango Mixture.
4) Pour and Serve

Note: If you are on a diet and really dont mind how thick and creamy it is, use just yogurt instead of cream and I will be just as good...

Tandoori Chicken

Since BBQ Season is starting I thought that this recipe would be more appropriate.......

Classic Tandoori Chicken
Ingredients:
Oven Ready Chicken
Cup of Natural Yogurt
4 tbsp. tandoori masala paste (you can get this usually from an Indian Store. If you live in the Washington DC area there should be a couple in the Silver Spring, MD area)
6tbsp of Clarified Butter (you can also use regular butter)
Salt
Salad Leaves, Onions, and Lemon Juice for Garnish

STEPS
1)Remove the fat from the chicken, and make Diagonal Gashes in the Chicken
2)Mix the yogurt, masala paste, and salt. Spread this evenly across the chicken and into some of the gashes (so the masala can get into the chicken) and leave overnight or a couple of hours
3)Grill (more appropriate for summer) or bake the chicken. Preheat both to maximum heat and let chicken cook with any excess marinade, for approximatly 20 min.
4) Melt the clarified butter and cook over for 10 minutes
5)Put the cooked chicken pieces in a dish and garnish the salad leaves, lemon juice, and onion slices
And you are all done :)
